a productive day!

we had a few hours child-free this afternoon. whilst the children were on the beach with our family, we went for a wander round the local market, and a little fabric stall on there had a remnants bin i couldnt help but dive into. for a total of £4 i got several large off cuts of 100% cotton material - i loved the colours and patterns on it but had no idea what to use it for.
anyway, hubby then commented that we could really use some cushions for the garden chairs, so i took the sewing machine outside - its been so nice and sunny today there was no way i was staying inside! - and sewed up 3 cushions. this is one side of the cushions:
and this is the other side!
i stuffed them using some old baby quilts so they havent cost me more than a couple of pounds to make and i always like recycling if possible :)
wat have you done today?

Sewing outside...that's a great idea! Much better than my stuffy "sewing room." The cushions turned out great - I especially love the wavy fabric!
